countries into the customs territory of the EU are covered by the MCVEG.<\/p><p>These goods are:<\/p><ul><li>Steel;\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/li><li>\u00a0Iron;<\/li><li>Fertilizers;<\/li><li>Aluminum;<\/li><li>Electricity;<\/li><li>Hydrogen;<\/li><li>Cement.<\/li><\/ul><p>It is very important to note that the Annex covers multiple processed products, e.g. vessels, pipes, drums, tanks, etc., and not only the raw product.<\/p><p>We are currently in a transition period (<strong>until 01.01.2026<\/strong>) during which importers have to report on a quarterly basis the carbon emissions embedded in these products, but <u>no financial obligations arise during this period.<\/u><\/p><p>The first period for such reporting was 01.10.2023 - 31.12.2023 and the window for submission was 31 March 2024.<\/p><p>From 1 April 2024, the European Commission should provide the EEA with information on importers who were obliged to submit a report to the ICVEG for the period 1 October 2023 - 31 December 2023 but did not do so voluntarily.
